The S-25 is a professional quality condenser microphone with a remarkably musical frequency response. We build these by hand in California using our own custom designed circuit boards and hand-selected parts. We manually bias every JFET to ensure maximum headroom before distortion. We use film-and-foil signal capacitors imported from Germany, because they sound better than the cheaper alternatives.
The microphone has a Cardioid polar pattern and a switchable -10dB pad (via internal switch).
The S-25 is extremely versatile, thanks to its neutral tone, high output level, and switchable pad. It works very well on vocals, acoustic guitar, drum overheads, and percussion. Hear audio samples below.
We are now offering a High SPL version of the S-25, purpose-built for use on drums. See the .
The S-25 includes a swivel mount and a plastic storage case.
If you need a shockmount, we recommend the .
We provide a 30-day warranty on all our microphones. (See also the .)
These microphones are built to order in our US headquarters. Allow 3-5 business days for assembly, testing, burn-in, and final QC.

RecorderMan position, mic pads engaged, no EQ, no compression, no kick mic.

If you are able to solder, you can .
"For a small home or project studio, this mic, or a pair of them, would be a great option if you are looking for a single solution that will take anything you throw at it. For larger studios, this mic would be a welcome addition to the mic locker for acoustic instruments, overheads, or just as extra mics that sound great when you need them."
